Malaysian Parliment : No entry for Rakyat

Today malaysian's parliament strictly guarded by police officers
armed with assault rifles patrolling inside and outside the parliament building with court order barring Anwar plus his supporters from coming within 5km of Parliament House. This is due to no-confidence motion debate request by opposition leader Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, who leads the PKR.

Is this really necessary??? Road block, police with rifles at parliament...a feeling like we are under terrorist attack.

....and strange court order. Ordinary citizen barred from entering parliment??? Memang we simply can't go in, but as a guest of MP???

Apa nak jadi?

The irony of democracy isn't it? We have a Parliment (symbol of democracy) but then as citizens (2nd class or not) we are not allowed to enter.

Here in Canberra, the Parliment is open to public every Wednesdays, and people can actually go in and see live debates of the Parliment in motion.

2 ironical sets of democracy. Sigh.
